Nassir Ghaemi M.D., M.P.H.

Nassir Ghaemi MD MPH is a psychiatrist and researcher specializing in depression and bipolar illness. He is Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center in Boston and Clinical Lecturer at Harvard Medical School, and teaches at the Cambridge Health Alliance.

Since October 2017, he also has been employed at Novartis Institutes of Biomedical Research in Cambridge MA, where he leads clinical psychiatry research in early drug discovery.

He is author of numerous books (see www.nassirghaemi.com) including the bestselling A First-Rate Madness: Uncovering the Links between Mental Illness and Leadership (New York: Penguin Press, 2011), and, most recently, Clinical Psychopharmacology, Oxford University Press, 2019. He runs a clinical education website, The Psychiatry Letter (www.psychiatryletter.net)

He has published over 300 scientific articles or book chapters, and serves on the editorial board of numerous journals.
