About

Edy Nathan, MA, LCSWR, is a therapist and the author of It’s Grief: The Dance of Self-Discovery Through Trauma and Loss. She has degrees from New York University and Fordham University, with post-graduate training at the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy and from the University of Michigan sex therapy program. Combining Jungian psychology, psychodrama and trauma therapy, Nathan desires to make sense of grief and the mosaic it creates in ones life. She sees grief as omnipresent, often being misunderstood and clinically avoided. Public speaking, week-long intensives and retreats for clients and professionals, her passion lies in changing the way grief is handled and understood. As an AASECT certified sex therapist, she helps families cope with a transitioning loved one and the grief associated to this complicated death and birth. Nathan is recognized as a grief expert best known for her work with trauma, sexuality and grief.

She’s been interviewed extensively on radio and television, as well as for print and online publications.

It doesn't interest me
what you do for a living.
I want to know
what you ache for
and if you dare to dream
of meeting your heart's longing.
